The patterns on these curtains change during the day due to the light. When light shines on the textile, the pattern consist of random but balanced lines. When light shines through the textiles, clear geometrical patterns appear. This makes that during the day the curtain shows a random composition of lines, which changes to a logical geometric pattern as soon as the evening sets in and lamps are turned on.
STUDIOEA investigates structures, repetitions, techniques and connotations found in everyday life, resulting in three fabrics, printed with an identical dotted grid. Using a traditional technique in a new way, we created three patterns within the two-dimensional surface of the textile - a front, a back and a joint view, changing throughout the day.
